Oh, I am such a fan of London, too! And I just noticed last week a book of "London stories" at Project Gutenberg: you might find it intriguing! The Mysteries of Modern London by George Sims (1906) — he was a journalist who investigated Jack the Ripper and other criminal mysteries. This is a brand-new book at Project Gutenberg; they are adding new books there all the time, and I'm always excited when it is a book that might be useful for these classes. Urban legends are not just a modern thing... London has had its urban legends for a long time!
